锡是重要的关键金属资源之一，广泛用于电器、电子、化工及军事工业等领域。锡石作为最重要的富锡矿石矿物，主要存在于与花岗岩侵入体相关的热液石英脉型、伟晶岩型、云英岩型、矽卡岩型和冲击型的锡矿床中。准确限定锡矿床的成矿时代，对于充分了解其矿床成因、精细成矿过程、矿床分布规律以及进一步指导矿床的寻找和勘查均起着至关重要的作用。
