本文使用中国家庭收入调查CHIP2008的流动人口数据，研究分析子女随迁的流动模式对流动人口家庭务工地消费的影响。研究结果表明，在控制其他变量的情况下，与非子女随迁的流动人口家庭相比，子女随迁的流动人口家庭的教育支出的比例更高，耐用消费品和其他杂项方面支出的比例更低。可见，伴随着子女加入到流动人口家庭的队伍中来，子女的教育支出显然成为流动人口家庭的重要支出项目。
