反常热输运是核聚变研究的核心问题之一,微湍流被普遍认为是导致反常热输运的主要因素。微湍流可以被常共存于等离子体中的MHD不稳定性所调制(平衡调制或非线性耦合),进而影响等离子体反常热输运水平。中高波数微湍流被MHD不稳定性调制的成果鲜有实验报道,鉴定及进一步的理解这种非线性相互作用不仅有助于预测以及改善将来聚变装置如ITER、CFETR等离子体的约束行为,也有利于其的安全运行及理论模型的完善。
