当前，随着新冠病毒变异株的持续出现和广泛传播，绝大部分获批紧急使用的抗体药物已经失效。新冠病毒作为呼吸道病毒，提升呼吸道黏膜抵抗病毒感染的能力尤为重要，目前已有多项通过呼吸道给药的抗新冠病毒多肽、IgG抗体进入临床试验，但IgM抗体作为黏膜免疫中的重要组成部分，对其开展的研究非常有限。
